What’s the Application Process Like?
After washing and drying your lashes, the lash artist uses an adhesive to attach silicone shields to your eyelids. Then your lashes are combed up and glued to the pad to hold their shape, and the perming solution – which softens the hair so the lashes can hold the shape – is applied. The solution stays on your lashes for anywhere from 6 to 10 minutes, depending on how well your lashes hold a curl.
Then a setting lotion is put on your lashes. This hardens your lashes back up so the shape is locked in. Every treatment is finished with a black tint and nourishing oil. You have the option to receive a keratin treatment for an additional cost. Keratin treatment is a hydrolyzed keratin mask that strengthens and nourishes natural lashes with argan oil, proteins, keratin and vitamins.
It’s perfect if you prefer a no-make up look
If you are looking for capital-D drama or have super-short lashes, you’ll probably want to consider lash extensions. If you like your natural lashes and just want a more wide-eyed look, or have a more natural look and want to skip mascara, a lash lift is a great choice for you. Despite not actually adding any length, the curl makes lashes look longer and opens up your eyes.
How do you care for your lashes after a Lash Lift Treatment?
The first 24 hours after your treatment are critical and you MUST follow the steps below to ensure your lift does not drop and to ensure longevity of the treatment. At this early stage, your lashes are still delicate, and the lift is working its magic which means you need to be as careful as possible.
- Do not get your lashes wet within the first 24 hours. This includes but is not limited to excessive moisture and steam from saunas and baths.
- Do not apply makeup or receive any other eye treatment within the first 24 hours.
- Avoid touching or rubbing your eyes.
- Use a lash conditioner daily.
- Avoid sleeping on your front within the first 24-48 hours.
After the first 24 hours, you can resume your normal daily life with your fabulous lashes! However, we recommend you continue to use a Lash Conditioner, which will nourish, strengthen and protect your lashes.
